About Me

Hi, I’m Anna Dobrisan, a qualified psychotherapist working from an Integrative perspective. At the heart of my work is a deeply Person-Centred, client-led approach, shaped by an understanding that our past experiences, relationships, and ways of coping all influence how we experience the present.

Before anything else, I am a human being. I understand what it can feel like to be overwhelmed, emotionally disconnected, or simply surviving rather than truly living. Therapy, for me, is about creating a space where you do not have to hold everything alone.

My Journey Into Counselling

My journey into counselling comes from a deep belief that everyone has a story and deserves to feel heard, valued, and accepted without conditions. I learned firsthand how powerful it can be to have someone sit alongside you, without judgement, and truly listen.

This experience continues to shape how I work. I offer a space where your story can unfold naturally, at your pace, and where meaning can gently emerge over time.

My work is guided by the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), ensuring that integrity, respect, and care sit at the centre of every session.

Who I Work With

I have experience supporting individuals who are navigating trauma, including sexual and emotional abuse, adverse childhood experiences, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, and difficulties in relationships.

Each person’s journey is unique. I honour the courage it takes to look inward and to explore experiences that may have been held quietly for a long time.

My Therapeutic Approach

My approach is Integrative, meaning I draw from different therapeutic perspectives to support you as a whole person.

At the core of my work is Person-Centred Therapy, offering empathy, acceptance, and a genuine human connection. Alongside this, I integrate psychodynamic understanding, which gently explores how past experiences, early relationships, and unconscious patterns may influence how you feel, relate, and cope today.

I won’t tell you who you should be or what you should do. Instead, we work collaboratively by noticing patterns, emotions, and meanings as they arise. I believe you already hold the answers; my role is to help you access them safely and with compassion, at a pace that feels right for you.

What I offer is a thoughtful, attuned therapeutic relationship where your authentic self can begin to feel seen, understood, and supported.
